Manchester United entertained Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford earlier today as they hoped to secure a positive result at home. The Red Devils were poor in the first half and conceded the opening goal in the 30th minute when Pascal Groß found the back of the net from close range. Groß made it 2-0 to Brighton just nine minutes later as Man United entered the half-time interval with a mountain to climb in the second half.

The home side were given some hope in the 68th minute as Alexis Mac Allister scored an unfortunate own goal. However, Erik ten Haag’s men were lackluster in the final third and crashed to a poor 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.
