Burnley are set to sign goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United with the player to undergo a medical today.

The Slovakian featured 10 times in the Premier League for the Magpies last season and was the main goalkeeper in Newcastle's League Cup-winning run although Nick Pope started ahead of him in the final against Liverpool at Wembley.

Now Dubravka's time with the Magpies is coming to an end ahead of a permanent transfer to Burnley, who saw James Trafford depart for Manchester City earlier in the window.

Dubravka initially joined Newcastle on loan from Sparta Prague in 2018 before the deal was made permanent. In total, the shot-stopper played 179 games for the club as well as spending a brief spell away on loan at Manchester United.
