As reported by L’Équipe, Premier League club Arsenal are set to place a €30m asking price on on-loan Marseille centre-back William Saliba this summer.

The 21-year-old has impressed in Ligue 1, winning the UNFP’s Young Player of the Season award while leading an another otherwise shaky Marseille defence with increasing aplomb.

The Marseille coach, Jorge Sampaoli, has stated his aim to keep the new France international for next season, something Saliba has said he’s open to, especially given OM’s Champions League qualification. However, a €30m price tag is likely to be more than tricky for Marseille to meet, say the sports daily.

Arsenal, however, who signed the player for €30m in 2020, are confident of a variety of offers from other clubs.
