According to L’Équipe, Olympique de Marseille have reached an agreement in principle to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna (21). however, the Ligue 1 club face Premier League competition.

As revealed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Marseille have been in advanced discussions with Dortmund over a move for the out-of-favour USMNT forward, who has played just 13 times for the Bundesliga side this season, making just two starts in all competitions. As per L’Equipe, those negotiations have now yielded an agreement in principle between the German club and OM.

However, the deal is not done yet. As reported by The Athletic, Nottingham Forest have also been talks over a move for Reyna, and without naming specific teams, L’Équipe have revealed that Dortmund remain in talks with Premier League sides, some of which already have an agreement in principle, just like Les Phocéens. Marseille therefore have some way to go before officialising Reyna’s arrival at the Vélodrome.
