According to Fabrizio Romano, Marseille have pulled out of negotiations with Inter Milan midfielder Lucien Agoumé (21) over a potential loan until the end of the season. The France U21 international was expected to sign for OM on loan until the end of the season with Les Olympiens previously earmarking Agoumé as their priority for midfield reinforcements.
Despite all signs pointing towards the 21-year-old arriving at the Stade Vélodrome this winter, a change of heart at the last hour as seen the move collapse. Marseille’s owners are not overly enthused at the prospect of signing the Inter midfielder, according to Fabrice Hawkins. OM want to bolster their midfield options in January but have also pulled out of a move for Nemanja Matic in recent days.
Following the collapse of his move to Marseille, Agoumé is set to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the season, according to Fabrizio Romano and Fabrice Hawkins. Inter and the La Liga club are in negotiations to finalise a loan move. Any prospective deal is expected to include a non-obligatory purchase option.
