Marseille president Longoria: Kolasinac chose us ahead of late rival offers
Tribal Football
Olympique Marseille president Pablo Longoria has welcomed their signing of Sead Kolasinac.
The former Arsenal left-back signed for OM this week, penning a deal to 2023.
At Kolasinac's presentation on Thursday, Longoria said: "We are happy to welcome Sead Kolasinac. He has a lot of experience in different clubs. I appreciate his international experience, his character, his style of play and being used to playing under pressure like at Schalke.
"He is physically powerful, he can also play in central defence.
"We wanted this profile for a long time. He was determined to come here despite the latest offers over the past few days.
"We intended to sign Sead to anticipate the departure of (Jordan) Amavi. We opened exit doors for some players."
