Jean-Louis Gasset takes charge of Olympique de Marseille for the first time when Shakhtar Donetsk visit the Vélodrome on Thursday evening. The Frenchman will be able to count on the returning Jordan Veretout, who could be fit enough to start.

Veretout is yet to feature for Marseille in February after suffering a quadriceps injury. However, the France international trained with his teammates on Wednesday ahead of the tie against Shakhtar. OM are still without captain Valentin Rongier and Bilal Nadir for the tie.

Pau Lopez had to cede the No.1 jersey to Ruben Blanco last weekend. The former is suffering from a calf injury and it is thought that he will not be fit enough to return for the UEFA Europa League tie. Leonardo Balerdi (suspended), Michael Murillo (injury) and Ulisses Garcia, Pape Gueye and Jean Onana, all of whom are ineligible, are all also out.
