Whilst Jean-Louis Gasset has welcomed many key figures back to the fold in recent weeks, he will be without first-choice centre-back Leonardo Balerdi, who will miss Olympique de Marseille’s match against FC Lorient on Sunday evening.
Following Marseille’s elimination from the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, Gasset looks set to rotate his weary side. Players such as Quentin Merlin, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Amine Harit and Iliman Ndiaye, all of whom started against Atalanta in mid-week, could drop to the bench in what is nonetheless a must-win fixture for OM, who are still in the hunt for European football for next season.
Players such as Pape Gueye, Jean Onana and Ulisses Garcia could all come in for the fixture, whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be pushed out to the left in order to accommodate Faris Moumbagna.
