Marseille predicted XI v Atalanta: Quentin Merlin and Chancel Mbemba return | OneFootball

Both Quentin Merlin and Chancel Mbemba look set to start for Olympique de Marseille as their injury crisis abates ahead of their UEFA Europa League semi-final against Atalanta.

Merlin has been out since suffering an injury in the first-leg of Marseille’s Europa League quarter-final against Benfica. The Frenchman was forced off on a stretcher, although the injury was ultimately not as bad as first feared. However, there remain doubts in the OM defence. Whilst Merlin is back, Samuel Gigot misses out through suspension and the fitness of Mbembe and Michael Murillo is questionable.

Jean-Louis Gasset will wait until just hours before the match against Atalanta before deciding who is fit to start and this will determine the shape in which OM line-up.
