Olympique de Marseille have officially confirmed the signing of Mattéo Guendouzi from Arsenal for a reported fee of €10m.
Guendouzi spent the last season on loan with Marseille and, on Friday, the club announced that the option-to-buy clause inserted into the contract had been activated.
Despite a promising start to life in the Premier League with Arsenal, the 23-year-old swiftly fell out of favour under new manager Mikel Arteta before being sent out on loan.
Guendouzi had a stand-out season in the south of France last year as he featured in every Ligue 1 game, scoring three goals and registering eight assists.
