According to a report from L’Équipe, Olympique de Marseille have reasons for wanting to agree a deal to sell Luis Henrique (23) before the end of the season.
The Brazilian winger had been a revelation for the club in the early parts of the campaign, helping to fire Marseille towards Champions League qualification, although his performances in recent months have tailed off and he has become the focus of criticism from manager Roberto De Zerbi and the fanbase.
Despite this, interest remains high, and multiple clubs across Europe have made moves to secure the winger this summer. Bayern Munich, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle United have all been linked with a sale, while Inter Milan remain in pole position.
L’Équipe writes that Inter want to complete a deal before their Club World Cup campaign begins on the 18th of June, while Marseille need to balance their books before the 30th of June (the date they need to present a budget for next season before French football’s financial watchdog).
Marseille reportedly would like over €30 million for the winger who arrived in La Provence in 2020.
