Olympique de Marseille are lining up a move for Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli (23), according to a report from L’Équipe.
A space has opened up within Marseille’s midfield, or one will very soon. Roberto De Zerbi announced on Friday that Ismaël Koné was on his way out of the club, having failed to reach the levels expected of him when he was signed from Watford in the summer. On his way out, he was absent from training at the end of last week and was left out of OM’s matchday squad for the 2-0 defeat to OGC Nice on Sunday.
The Canadian could be replaced by Fagioli at the Vélodrome. The Italian is out of favour at the Serie A side. Capable of playing either as a No.6 or as a No.8, Marseille are looking to bring him in on loan. Juventus would, however, prefer either a straight sale or a loan with a permanent option.
