Marseille are keen to sign Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano.
This according to French football journalist Santi Aouna. He reports in a tweet that the 23-year-old Uruguayan international prefers the move to interest from Brest and Getafe.
23-year-old Uruguayan international striker Satriano spent last season on loan with Brest in Ligue 1.
The Inter striker scored four goals and made four assists in Ligue 1. He made a total of 33 appearances in the league.
And Brest reached a surprise qualification for the Champions League, finishing third in the table.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Brest remain interested in keeping Satriano.
The newspaper report that this time around, they want to sign him on a permanent basis rather than another loan.
Satriano has in fact been on loan at Brest twice. He had previously spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan with the French club.
And during the 2022-23 campaign, Satriano had been out on loan with Empoli in Serie A.
As far as Inter are concerned, they are aiming to sell Satriano this summer. They would like to sell him on a permanent basis rather than loan him out again.
There have looked to be a few different possible destinations for the Uruguayan.
The likes of Stuttgart, Real Betis, and Valencia have all registered an interest in the 23-year-old’s signature.
Moreover, Brest also showed a strong interest in bring Satriano back. They reached an agreement with Inter on a free, but the player himself was reluctant on the move.
A big part of the reason why Satriano did not accept a transfer to Brest is that he preferred a move to La Liga.
But now a different Ligue 1 club is keen on Satriano. And this time, the Uruguayan is more amenable to the move.
Marseille are looking to sign a striker. This follows a serious knee injury to striker Faris Moumbagna.
According to French journalist Aouna, Satriano is the striker who Marseille have identified as a replacement for Moumbagna.
Aouna reports that there is also interest in the Uruguayan’s signature from Getafe, in addition to Brest.
But according to Aouna, Satriano prefers the idea of joining Marseille. That has become his priority.
