Despite Olympique de Marseille finishing last in Group C of the UEFA Champions League, it hasn’t humbled Dimitri Payet. Many remember that the 33-year-old trolled Paris Saint-Germain and its supporters with a GIF on Twitter after the capital club fell to FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

A few months have gone by, and the Marseille forward spoke with L‘Équipe (via Canal Supporters), where he stated that there are no regrets for his trolling of PSG and would like to continue his banter toward them.

“Do I regret the chambers made at PSG? Not at all. I would even like to continue. It’s part of the game; it should not be taken at face value. But I realized one thing: it was not the PSG who answered me, even if Presnel (Kimpembe) made it with good war in a press conference. No, my surprise is that there are so many Paris supporters in the media,” Payet said.

“Afterward, when you’re a lodger like me, if you’re sensitive, you’re in pain. Sometimes it goes a bit far. But it’s because it’s OM, it’s me. I accept it. I know how to take it. Hot PSG players during the Classico? Yes. I woke up the next day with ankle pain, yes. I didn’t think a tweet could derail them like this. So much the better, it allowed us to take three points there.”

Earlier this season, The Olympians finally picked up a victory in Le Classique, their first since 2011. Although Payet didn’t feature in the scoring sheet, he did make his presence known as an agitator.

Les Parisiens will face Marseille twice over the next two months, with the first being on January 13th for the Trophée des Champions. Then on February 7th, both sides will meet at the Stade Velodrome for Ligue 1 action. Regardless of whether Payet makes an impact, he will try and get under the Parisien players’ skin.
