According to L’Équipe, Olympique de Marseille are considering a move for Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun (21). Les Phocéens are looking for a complimentary profile to partner with Alexis Sánchez (34) in the attack.

As reported by Foot Mercato, Sánchez’s future is not yet resolved. The Chilean international is seeking guarantees about the ambition shown during the summer transfer window before committing to remaining at the Vélodrome for a further year. However, according to L’Équipe, talks between Sánchez, who enjoys life in Provence, and Marseille, are advancing well.

Marseille will be hoping to retain the former Barcelona and Arsenal forward, who scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season, but regardless, new manager Marcelino is in the market for more attackers. Ideally, the Spaniard wants three or four as he prepares to deploy a 4-4-2 next season.

Les Phocéens are studying multiple targets, including Balogun and AS Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder. The former would garner a considerable transfer fee, whilst the latter a large wage. The France forward is the top earner at the Principality club.
