Olympique de Marseille’s search for a new manager could see them turn their attention once more to France as they consider a move for Franck Haise

Despite the RC Lens manager leading the club to the brink of their first league title in 26 years last season, it has looked increasingly like his time with the Artesians is coming to an end

This has been a somewhat disappointing season for Lens regardless of the club managing to secure qualification into next year’s Europa Conference League, and there is a feeling that Haise’s position at the club has been significantly weakened

This could see Marseille test the waters for a manager who seems to fit their interest in a coach with Ligue 1 experience. According to the journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Marseille have already spoken to Haise about the role.

In April, Marseille’s sporting director Medhi Benatia met with the Lens-man to discuss the project, and those conversations could well be restarted in the upcoming weeks. However, Les Phocéens will not be alone in their interest with OGC Nice reportedly eyeing up Haise.
