According to L’Équipe, Olympique de Marseille are closing in on a deal to sign Eddie Nketiah (25) from Arsenal during the summer transfer window. The Arsenal striker is set to be one of many potential recruits at the Stade Vélodrome as Roberto De Zerbi plans to change 80% of his starting eleven.

Nketiah has agreed personal terms with Marseille ahead of a potential move to the South of France, L’Équipe reports. OM are also making great progress with the Gunners on finding a potential agreement for their academy graduate to leave North London. The 25-year-old is seen as a replacement for former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has left Les Olympeins for Al-Qadisah.

Several moves are still in the balance

Nketiah could be the second recruit in several days from North London after Marseille confirmed the arrival of Pierre-Emile Højberg from Tottenham Hotspur. Les Phocéens are also working on several other transfers including a return for Alexis Sanchez as a free agent and the potential signing of Wolves attacker Hwang Hee-Chan.
