Goal report that Marseille and Tottenham are amongst the clubs interested in Palmeiras’ Uruguayan left-back Joaquín Piquerez (23).
The Uruguayan defender, who made his international debut in September 2021, made 33 appearances for Palmeiras last season, scored once and registered two assists.
Marseille have already been active in the transfer market, making 6 signings, including Chancel Mbemba (27) who arrived on a free transfer on Friday. Should Piquerez arrive at the Orange Vélodrome, he would be in competition with Jordan Amavi (28) and Sead Kolasinac (29), although the latter has been linked with a move away from the club.
The Ligue 1 club could face competition from Tottenham. The London club already have Sergio Reguilón (25) and Ben Davies (29), who can both play at left-back, although in Antonio Conte’s system, the latter has been used at LCB.
According to Goal, another unnamed German club are interested in the player.
