American coach Jesse Marsch admits he would be interested in taking on the RB Leipzig job.

Marsch was the assistant to Ralf Rangnick at the club for a year before he went to manage Red Bull Salzburg in 2019.

He has guided Salzburg to the league and cup double, and they are close to winning their domestic league again this term.

Nageslmann is being linked to Bayern Munich and Tottenham.

"Of course I understand the club very well. If you ask me what would fit best, RB Leipzig is of course a top idea," Marsch told Sky when asked about joining a Bundesliga team.

"But Julian Nagelsmann is doing a great job and there is currently no reason for Leipzig to look for a new coach.

"But if I can have the opportunity as a coach in Leipzig, then that's a great idea for me."
