Paris Saint-Germain have released a medical update ahead of their Sunday fixture against Stade de Reims. Marquinhos (29) has not been in the squad for PSG’s last two league games after suffering from a consistent injury that meant he was unable to complete training.
The centre-back was included in the squad that faced Real Sociedad in PSG’s midweek victory, but he did not make an appearance off the bench. The defender will once again be rested for this weekend’s match after persistent pain in his Achilles tendon, as the defender continues his treatment plan.
Marco Asensio (28) likewise will not be in the team after becoming injured during the AS Monaco draw last weekend. The attacking midfielder had to be substituted in the first half after injuring his pelvis and will continue his recovery work.
Milan Škriniar (29) was provided the first good news in months since he became injured in the Trophée des Champions on the 3rd of January. The defender still does not yet have a clear date in mind for when he will return to the pitch, but he made a significant step in his recovery by being allowed to train on his own.
However, there has been no further update on Presnel Kimpembe’s return as he continues his recovery exercises.
