Luis Enrique has announced his Paris Saint-Germain squad that will face Real Sociedad in the Champions League tomorrow evening.

There were serious doubts over the status of PSG’s centre-backs Marquinhos (29) and Danilo Pereira (32) for the second leg of their round of 16 tie. Neither player was included in PSG’s 0-0 draw against AS Monaco on Friday evening after both suffered recent injuries.

Their absence left a defensive crisis for PSG with four of their six centre-backs all out injured ahead of the Friday night game. However, this situation now appears to be over with their return to the squad, although whether they will be fit enough to start for the club remains to be seen.

PSG prospect included in the squad

The surprise inclusion of academy centre-back and highly rated prospect, Joane Gadou (17) perhaps suggests that the club are not fully convinced that their injury crisis is over. It would be a shock if Gadou made his debut at this stage, his inclusion instead speaks to the club erring on the side of caution.

Marco Asensio (28) was forced into an early substitution against Monaco and will not travel with the team to San Sebastian, while a medical update on Milan Škriniar (29) and Presnel Kimpembe (28) stated that they will continue their rehabilitation programmes with no return date in sight.
