Marquinhos (31) is currently preparing for Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan. It is one of the most important games of his career, and it could be one of his last for PSG.

There is continued uncertainty surrounding the future of the PSG captain, the symbol of the QSI era, having played over 10 years for the Ligue 1 side.

The PSG captain was the subject of intense interest from Saudi Arabia last summer before ultimately opting to remain at the Parc des Princes. The Gulf State’s interest not only remains, but it has since grown, L’Équipe understands. Amid that growing interest in recent months, PSG’s stance has changed. Previously untouchable, the Ligue 1 champions are now open to a departure come the summer.

Speaking last week, Marquinhos responded to growing questions about his future at the club. “My future? The feeling that I have is that the manager and the club are satisfied with my work, but we never know about the future,” began the Brazilian, whose contract at PSG runs until 2028.

He added, “That is why, in every match, I give 100% for the club. I have so much love for his club. I will always give 100% for it!” If the Champions League game is to be his last with the club, he will want to leave a special parting gift.
