Wolves have completed the signing of central midfielder Mario Lemina from Ligue 1 side Nice.

The 29-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Molineux, moving for a fee of around £9m according to The Athletic.

Lemina returns to the Premier League where he made over 80 appearances for Southampton and Fulham after 18 months in France.

He becomes Julen Lopetegui’s second signing of the January transfer window after striker Matheus Cunha’s move from Atlético Madrid.

The Athletic also reported earlier on Friday that Wolves were closing in on moves for Flamengo midfielder João Gomes and PSG winger Pablo Sarabia.
