Mario Lemina has made it no secret that he wants a move away from Southampton to join Galatasaray on a permanent deal.

Galatasaray has the option to buy Lemina at the end of his loan spell – one the former Juventus man hopes they pick up.

“Playing for Galatasaray makes me very happy,” Lemina told Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

“Every day, I receive good messages from the fans. I love them. I’m enjoying playing for them.

“Do I want to stay? There’s no need to ask that question, everything is clear from my end.

“I want to be remembered as one of Galatasaray’s greatest players.

“Of course, I joined the club on a loan deal, but I hope it won’t continue like this.”

Should Lemina re-join Southampton, he still has two years remaining on his original five-year deal he signed after his €17.25m move from Turin.
