Without a club since the end of his contract with Genoa last July, Mario Balotelli is seriously considering a return to the Turkish Süper Lig.

According to beIN SPORTS, the 35-year-old Italian striker has made it known, through his representatives, that he wishes to join Gaziantep FK. For now, the player's financial demands have not been accepted by the club, but talks are ongoing and an agreement is still possible.

Balotelli made a huge impression on the Turkish league during his stint at Adana Demirspor, where he scored 26 goals and provided 8 assists in 51 matches. In contrast, his spell in Genoa was short-lived: just 63 minutes of Serie A action last season, with no goals or assists.
