Marina’s future still up in the air despite positive talks

Marina Granovskaia’s future at Chelsea is still uncertain, despite some positive moves in the last few weeks.

Initially it seemed like her connections to Roman Abramovich would make it undesirable for any bid to include her in its plans. But it seems that’s no problem for the government or the Premier League, and indeed winning bidder Todd Boehly is keen to bring her on board.

The Daily Telegraph report today that her future “has still not been decided”. She will have talks with Boehly this week about staying on in a short term role, or perhaps even permanently, continuing to head up the club’s dealings with transfers and contracts.

Bruce Buck already looks likely to continue as chairman in the short term at least, and it seems only natural that Marina would stay on for that same period.

The summer transfer window is almost upon us, and it’s vital to have some continuity now so that we don’t lose even more ground on our rivals.
