Marina Granovskaia could leave Chelsea despite positive reputation

The future of Marina Granovskaia at Chelsea after the departure of Roman Abramovich has been a major question since the takeover process began – and we don’t have any more clarity now that Todd Boehly is in charge.

At times it seemed difficult for Marina to continue, despite her high profile and success as Roman’s right hand woman at Chelsea. Her close ties to a sanctioned individual made it difficult to imagine her continuity being easy to swallow for many parties.

Since then, it’s been made clear that various parties interested in buying the club were keen for her to stay – and that’s where we had left things.

An exclusive in Caughtoffside today though reveals that she’s giving serious consideration to her future, given that Boehly is going to appoint a new sporting director and a new CEO at the club.

It’s said she could even issue a statement herself – something we haven’t seen much of as she worked so far in the shadow of Abramovich’s almost total media silence.
