Marek Hamsik’s agent has denied reports that the Napoli forward could leave the club and sign for Chelsea in the summer.
The Slovakia international has spent over a decade with the Partenopei and has been consistently linked with a switch away from the Serie A giants throughout his time there.
Maurizio Sarri’s men have almost certainly missed out on the Scudetto this season, as with two games to go they’re six points behind Juventus with an identical head-to-head record and a vastly inferior goal difference.
The squad made a pact at the end of last term to stay together and try to win the title this time around, so there are fears the squad could be broken up ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Reports have suggested that the west London club are keen on landing the 30-year-old, but that’s something that’s been rubbished by his representative.
“It’s the first I’ve heard of it,” Martin Petras told CalcioNapoli24.
“I don’t think so, I don’t know anything about it. It’s normal that we’re talking about the transfer market right now, but there’s nothing.
“He’s trying to keep the group united, but they need to have a common goal. There’s a desire to start again next year and conquer the Scudetto.
“Every year teams and rumours come out, but in the end he stays at Napoli.
“Sarri? I know there are some who want to leave Napoli, but Sarri’s future has to be clarified.”
