Inter have tied up the signing of former Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram on a free transfer.
The Champions League finalists beat off competition from a host of European giants, including city rivals Milan to the France international’s signature. Thuram had also been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.
The striker has signed a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri, who had reportedly been tracking him as far back as September 2021.
The 25-year-old spent four seasons with the Bundesliga outfit, registering 44 goals in 134 appearances from all competitions.
During that time he was voted the German top flight’s Rookie of the Month on three consecutive occasions.
He will become Inter’s seventh free transfer signing in the previous five years and potentially fill the hole left by the departure of striker Edin Džeko.
