Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford picked up his 50th England cap tonight as the Three Lions booked their place in the World Cup quarter-finals.

A 3-0 win secured England’s progression to the quarter-finals in which they will face reigning world champions France, including United centre-back Raphael Varane.

Rashford is in the race for this competition’s Golden Boot award having netted three goals in four appearances. Kylian Mbappe currently leads the list with five goals.

The Wythenshawe-born talent made his international debut at 18 years old and scored with his first shot, becoming the youngest player to score in their first England appearance – a record which is yet to be broken.

He has competed in three major tournaments for his national team before this year’s tournament; Euro 2016, World Cup 2018 and Euro 2020.
