Marcus Rashford is officially the world’s most valuable-player.
That’s according to the CIES Football Observatory, who have released their bi-annual list of the game’s most expensive players.
By crunching their game stats, wage demands, asking price and length of contract, CIES have revealed a comprehensive examination of who is worth what in today’s market.
Rashford, not content with saving so many if Britain’s kids from hunger, is now top of the pile, worth €166m to Manchester United.
A second United star, Bruno Fernandes (€151m), makes the top five while a second Englishman, Trent Alexander-Arnold (€152m), is in third.
Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland (€152m) takes second place and his club teammate Jadon Sancho (€148m) is sixth.
Kylian Mbappé (€149m) is the only Paris Saint-Germain player to feature in the top 20, while Lionel Messi misses out completely due to the fact his contract expires in six months time.
