Manchester United somehow managed to overpower Coventry in the penalties in the semi-final round of the FA Cup. They will face arch-rivals Manchester City in the finals next month. For now, the former side will return to the Premier League to face Sheffield United this week.

The Red Devils are seventh in the domestic points table with just 50 points after 32 games. They are unlikely to earn a spot in any European competition for next season. Hence, they must utilize the upcoming games to build confidence and momentum ahead of the City’s challenge.

Andre Onana did well in the penalties to guide Manchester United to yet another FA Cup final. He is going to be lined up between the sticks again. Diogo Dalot had an excellent game and should be again operated at the right full-back spot.

The Red Devils are facing multiple injuries in the defensive unit. Hence, Casemiro and Harry Maguire formed the centre-back duo in the last game. With no positive news expected to arrive soon, don’t be surprised if you see the same two guys again deployed at the heart of the defence.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka had an awful display against Coventry. However, he might find himself lucky to continue as the left-back.

Midfield

Scott McTominay suffered a knock and was forced off during the extra-time. If he fails to regain fitness in time, Christian Eriksen should be lining up with Kobbie Mainoo to form the holding midfielders duo.

Marcus Rashford was also taken off due to an injury concern and his participation is under threat. In his absence, Amad Diallo could earn his first Premier League start of the season. Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho will be retained in the offensive line.

Attack

Rasmus Hojlund is likely to lead the line once again. He will be expected to step up in the absence of so many key players.
