Marcos Paulo is delighted with his move to Atletico Madrid.
The former Fluminense striker has joined Atletico as a free agent.
The youngster has signed with Atletico to 2026 and said: "I was at Fluminense, there were several teams interested in my work and my contract was about to end. There was a game against Athletico Paranaense and my agent told me that there was a chance that Atleti would come to talk to us.
"It went very well, I scored two goals and we had the conversation. I was very happy.
"I will contribute work, a lot of desire, assists, goals, dribbles and always wanting to help the team in a way that benefits everyone."
On coach Diego Simeone, he added: "He is a very important figure in the world of football and I hope to learn a lot here. I am very young and I have come to learn a lot."
