Marcos Braz reveals deadline for announcing new players | OneFootball

Ahead of Flamengo’s Thursday night matchup against Cuiabá, Marcos Braz commented on the three biggest names that have been linked to the Rubro-Negro in recent weeks.

Though Flamengo have only brought in Bruno Viana on loan to strengthen the side this year, there’s now some money to play with after Gerson’s €25m move to Marseille.

Thiago Mendes, Renato Augusto, and Kenedy could all join Flamengo and Braz is looking to have all transfer business completed in July.

“We are playing against the coin but we are trying to sign a player who can effectively help us and resolve some issues,” Braz told journalist Gabriel Reis.

“Spindel and I don’t try to sign players just for the sake of signing them. There have been mistakes, many hits. But we always try to bring excellence to the Flamengo squad.

“We expect everything to be resolved within this month. We always believe in making signings, even the most difficult and arduous ones.

“We will try to sign athletes that really help the club this season and down the road.”

Last summer, Flamengo were able to bring in Mauricio Isla on a free transfer.
