The team news is out for today’s final game of the season, where Chelsea take on Watford with nothing to play for.

You might have thought that meant room for some sentimentality in terms of the team selection, and Thomas Tuchel certainly has rewarded some players for their hard work this season.

He doesn’t go quite as far as Ross Barkley, but Saul Niguez and Kenedy are both in the mix after not playing much all campaign.

One man who has featured a lot who doesn’t get a nod, even on the bench is Marcos Alonso. The Spaniard is replaced at left back by Kenedy, and Ben Chilwell is the backup on the bench.

If the rumours are true that Alonso is leaving this summer, that means his last game for Chelsea was on Thursday against Leicester.

He went out with a bang – scoring his team’s goal – but we wouldn’t be so sure he’s off just yet. He’s made a real habit of sticking around.
