Ex-Inter midfielder Marco Tardelli has suggested that Massimiliano Allegri and Juventus will need to improve very quickly if they are to keep up with the teams at the top of the table, according to a report in the Italian print media.

Whilst writing in his column for Italian newspaper, La Stampa, Marco Tardelli explained that despite Juventus finally picking up their first win of the season on Wednesday night against Spezia, the performance was not very inspiring.

“After a disastrous start, Juventus returns to win. A sigh of relief from the fans, the players and the coach himself.

“They do so, however, without convincing, with an opaque performance, full of errors and horrors.”

Marco Tardelli then warned that Massimiliano Allegri will have to remedy the situation very fast if Juventus are to stand any chance of competing for the Scudetto this season.

“Allegri will have to soon remedy this situation if he wants to keep up with teams like Inter, AC Milan and Napoli that have the continuity.”

Juventus currently sit in 12th place in the Serie A table. They are already eight points behind Inter and AC Milan, and 10 points behind Napoli who have won all five of their opening games.

Inter will be hoping to beat Atalanta on Saturday to maintain or increase that gap.
