As the summer transfer window looms, Fulham find themselves navigating familiar yet uncomfortable territory — ambition shadowed by uncertainty. It is a moment that could shape the identity of Marco Silva’s side for seasons to come, or unravel the quiet stability he has carefully constructed.
In a league where vision must be matched by resources, Marco Silva’s patience may be tested. Juventus, Tottenham and Al Hilal have all expressed interest in the Fulham boss. For now, he remains in place, but Fulham’s board must prove that their ambitions align with his.
The squad has depth, certainly, but lacks sharpness in critical areas. Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz have taken turns leading the line, scoring inconsistently in Silva’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation. Muniz’s tally of eight league goals reflects promise, but not enough to deter recruitment. Fulham now seek a third forward to add edge to their attack — a striker who can elevate rather than merely complement.
There are broader cracks forming too. Kenny Tete has not yet signed a new contract, and Fulham will look for alternatives should negotiations collapse. In central midfield, reinforcements are under consideration. Silva’s style demands more than solidity — it needs tempo, control, and quality in transition. Fulham may dip into the market to find that balance.
The situation on the wings is just as delicate. Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal, and uncertainty surrounds Willian’s future. Now 36, the Brazilian could move on as a free agent, potentially ending a steady if unspectacular chapter at Craven Cottage. His departure would necessitate urgent action.
Fulham retain an interest in Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, though he now finds himself on the radar of both Manchester clubs. His price tag may soon soar beyond Fulham’s budget. Rafa Silva, currently at Besiktas, is another option under discussion.

In attack, Ricardo Pepi remains a name of interest. The US international was on West Ham’s list in January before they opted for Evan Ferguson. Fulham like him, but his position at PSV complicates things.
Carlos Vinicius is expected to move on. If that happens, Fulham’s summer rebuild will need to be sharp, proactive, and brave.
Captain Tom Cairney, the club’s heartbeat for over a decade, is out of contract. If he walks away, it would mark the end of an era and the loss of Fulham’s most enduring presence. Leadership, consistency, experience — all would need replacing.
Meanwhile, Fulham fans will watch Liverpool’s pursuit of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez with added interest. If the Reds succeed, they may circle back to Fulham’s own Antonee Robinson, admired across Europe for his dynamic full-back displays.
There is no escaping the reality: this summer is a turning point. Fulham must get their transfers right, or risk stagnation at best and decline at worst.
