Borussia Dortmund are next in Bundesliga action in Wolfsburg on Saturday (kick-off 15:30 CET). The personnel situation has improved slightly ahead of the game.

Erling Haaland will be on board the team bus that departs the Dortmund-Brackel training ground for Wolfsburg on Friday afternoon. Raphael Guerreiro was suffering from muscular problems following the warm-up on Wednesday. "We need to wait and see in his case," explained Rose. Jude Bellingham will definitely miss out, however, after taking a knock to his knee in Portugal.

The effects of the defeat in Lisbon and the resulting elimination from the UEFA Champions League are still being felt. "It's a bitter exit. Nonetheless, we need to move on. It's my job to bring the energy levels back up now. We want to steer things back in the right direction," Rose said two days later, before adding: "Today's task will be to have a good final training session and get ourselves ready to be successful in Wolfsburg." The coach then issued a demand: "We need to point out the mistakes and talk about them. There are always situations where we need to be more consistent and attentive – all together. It's about being uncompromising in the decisive areas."

The next opponents kicked off their season with four wins and only suffered their first defeat on Matchday 6. Wolfsburg currently occupy sixth spot in the table. Florian Kohfeldt took over as coach from Mark van Bommel about a month ago. "Under Flo, they have lined up in different formations. They are playing with more power and attacking momentum again.
