Marco Reus wants Borussia Dortmund to build on their crucial victory at fellow Champions League hopefuls Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Goals in either half from striker Erling Haaland won the day for 10-man BVB, who had to contend with losing Jude Bellingham to a second yellow card just before the hour mark.

“From the first second, we were ready to go beyond our limit,” Dortmund captain Reus said, per the club’s official website.

“We defended very well and also played very well with the ball. After going a man down, we tried to maintain a goal threat.

“It was a deserved victory today. It was a special situation, because we needed to win. Now we’re only two points behind Wolfsburg, and that means it’s not over yet.

“We’re having a good run but we need to keep that run going. Our last four matches have been wins; we still need three more. We absolutely want to qualify for the Champions League.”

Dortmund’s top four hopes were also boosted by Eintracht Frankfurt’s 3-1 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.

That leaves Frankfurt in fourth place, just two points ahead of Reus and his team-mates.
