Marcin Bulka addresses OGC Nice future following exit reports

Marcin Bulka (24) has become a key player for OGC Nice, however, his future with the Riviera club is uncertain. L’Équipe reported last week that the Poland international had rejected a contract extension offer and was targeting an end-of-season departure. Bulka himself has now directly addressed his future at the club.

Since displacing Kasper Schmeichel in goal for Nice at the start of the 2023/24 season, Bulka has become displaceable. He has grown in stature with Le Gym, having hardly had a look in at Chelsea and then Paris Saint-Germain, not only asserting himself as No.1 at Nice but as one of the best goalkeepers in Ligue 1.

Nice contract talks ongoing?

Les Aiglons had therefore hoped to extend his contract and were confident of doing so. However, according to L’Équipe, talks broke down and with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season, an end-of-season departure is now the Poland international’s objective.

Bulka has now addressed the report. “All I can say is that I am very committed to Nice. I have two years left on my contract. I can say that I am very happy at the club. I will give 100% for this club that I love. We are currently in talks so there are lots of things that can happen. You never know. We have to find a middle ground and we’ll move forward,” said Bulka in a mixed-zone interview, shared by France Bleu Azur.
