Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio predicts Dusan Vlahovic will be the match-winner for the Bianconeri in today’s Derby della Mole against Torino.

The former midfielder released an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Saturday’s Derby della Mole between Juventus and Torino at the Stadio Grande Torino.

Marchisio won all the derbies he played against Torino (11 from 11) scoring three goals against Juventus’ city rivals. What’s his favourite Derby memory?

“Not one specific moment, but the joy when I was celebrating,” said the former Italy international.

“I scored a few goals, but the emotion was always the same.”

Who will be the decisive player in today’s derby?

“I’ll say Vlahovic because of the Fiorentina game. Dusan played an excellent match but wasn’t able to score, so he’ll want revenge.

“Juventus suffered against Fiorentina, but these matches are also needed to end the crisis,” continued Marchisio.

“The history of the derby is full of games like this. It can be a key game to chase away the ghosts of the last period.”

Juventus are still fighting for a Champions League placement, and three primary targets have emerged for the summer if they secure a top-four finish: Teun Koopmeiners, Felipe Anderson and Riccardo Calafiori. What’s Marchisio’s view on these three potential signings?

“They are interesting names, but you need an important project to be certainly a candidate to win the title and be protagonists in Europe again,” concluded the ex-midfielder.

Marchisio, a product of Juventus’ academy, scored 37 goals in 389 appearances with the Old Lady’s first team, winning seven Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia and three Supercoppa Italiana.
