Chivas manager Marcelo Michel Leaño lamented his side’s inability to secure victory at home Querétaro on Saturday.
The visitors took a very early lead through Leonardo Sequeira at the Estadio Akron, but Chivas levelled matters just before the interval when Alexis Vega executed a beautiful free-kick.
“If the first half lasts five more minutes, we turn it around,” Leaño said, per MARCA Claro.
“The second half cost us, they made adjustments. We had three very clear (chances) in the second half and a couple in the first.”
The 34-year-old was not too dispirited after the draw, which saw the Flock bring their tally of points to four after the first three games of the 2022 Clausura.
“What I celebrate is that the team created scoring opportunities and I’m sure that when the goals fall, the team will add three (points),” he said.
Liga MX now pauses for the international break, so Chivas will not be back in action until they visit Juárez on Saturday week.
