Whilst AS Monaco fans are pushing for the arrival of former player Marcelo Gallardo to replace the departed Philippe Clement, Nice-Matin are reporting that the Argentine favours a move to the Premier League.
Gallardo has been linked to two big jobs in France. As reported by L’Équipe, the former River Plate manager, who has been out of a job since December, has been offered the Olympique de Marseille role, vacated by Igor Tudor. The Croatian manager left Les Phocéesn halfway through his two-year contract.
L’Équipe have also linked Gallardo to the Paris Saint-Germain job, but German manager Julian Nagelsmann now looks the strong favourite to replace Christophe Galtier in the dugout at the Parc des Princes.
Nice-Matin report that Gallardo is in contact with numerous European clubs, but is yet to find an agreement with any of them. The former Monaco manager favours a project in England, but wouldn’t be against a return to France.
