Marcelo Bielsa has hailed Pablo Hernández after his performance in Leeds’ 3-2 win over Millwall on Saturday.
The Elland Road outfit came back from 2-1 down to beat the south London side – a victory that saw they go above Sheffield United and into second place.
Hernandez was key to the win – scoring two, including a late winner – and Bielsa was full of praise for the forward after the game.
“Pablo is a leader,” said the Leeds United head coach following the match.
“He is not someone who likes to talk a lot or make behaviour to show this. But he usually asks for the ball when it is difficult to receive.
“He tries to take the risks that are usually hard to take for players. He creates a frustration with the link of the nice feeling to be closer to create the chance.
“When we lose the balls at the beginning when we were playing out, the frustration is very clear and he contacts all of the players.”
Next up for Leeds is a trip to Birmingham next Saturday.
