Life at Real Madrid isn’t the same without Cristiano Ronaldo.

Even though Los Blancos are off to a perfect start after their latest 4-1 victory over Girona, some of the players have dismissed the possibility that Real Madrid are better off without Ronaldo.

Marcelo said, “[Ronaldo] is the best in the world.

“It’s obvious that you miss playing with him but [Gareth] Bale and [Karim] Benzema are really good too.”

Benzema, who scored twice in Real’s win over the weekend, added, “You can never forget Cristiano. He was so important to Real Madrid and scored many goals, and, as Marcelo said, is one of the best attackers in the world.

“But, we have to start thinking about a different team with different players.”

Gareth Bale has done well to fill in for the club’s leading goalscorer, netting in each of Real Madrid’s first two La Liga fixtures.

Real Madrid are still yet to directly replace Ronaldo after the 33-year-old moved to Juventus in a €112m deal this summer.
