Burnley will be looking for a fourth win on the bounce and a sixth in seven games when they host Rotherham United at Turf Moor tomorrow evening.

The Clarets left it late to come from behind and beat Reading 2-1 and remain top of the Championship on Saturday.

With the likes of Sheffield United and Norwich City stuttering, Vincent Kompany’s side have emerged as frontrunners for the title in the minds of many but will know there’s a long way to go just yet.

Burnley have games against the Blades and fellow promotion hopefuls Blackburn Rovers before the winter World Cup break later this month, which makes getting the job done against the Millers tomorrow all the more important.

With that in mind, we’ve outlined the starting XI we expect Kompany to name against Rotherham on Wednesday…

Manchester City loanee Aro Muric has established himself as Burnley’s number one this season and it would be a shock to see him lose his place between the sticks.

Ahead of him, Kompany will be tempted to name an unchanged back four for Rotherham’s visit with Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jordan Beyer as his starting centre-backs and Vitinho and Ian Maatsen on the flanks.

Josh Cullen is still absent due to injury but the return of Jack Cork, who was suspended for Saturday’s game against the Royals, should offer the Clarets more control in the midfield.

1. Ben Mee

He will likely partner the impressive Josh Brownhill but the Burnley duo will have a tough test on their hands against the likes of Dan Barlaser and Ben Wiles.

Anniss Zaroury bagged the stoppage-time winner against Reading and will surely start on the left but Benson Manuel was the catalyst for the turnaround.

The Belgian winger came off the bench to score the equaliser and assist Zaroury’s winner so should have earned a place in the starting XI.

Kompany has heaped praise on Jay Rodriguez recently and the 33-year-old is likely to lead the line once again with Nathan Tella in the number 10 role.
