Bayern Munich head to Real Madrid for a make-or-break UEFA Champions League clash on May 8.

Los Blancos have sealed the La Liga title this weekend with Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title defence already over.

That means their Champions League semi final will define the season for both clubs on the back of a superb 2-2 first leg draw.

Both teams were guilty of missing chances in Bavaria and Real Madrid are favourites to progress into the final on home soil.

However, despite having the odds against them ahead of the rematch, Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer has issued a rallying call to his teammates.

“This is a very important game and we must show a killer instinct in Madrid”, as per quotes from Mundo Deportivo.

Bayern Munich’s record at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu does not make for positive reading for Neuer, with no victory in their last seven visits, and their last win came in the 2001 semi finals on route to winning the competition.
