Former West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini completed a move to Argentine giants River Plate on Wednesday evening.
The 30-year-old put an end to an eight-year career with the Hammers early this summer, where he scored 32 goals and provided 28 assists across 226 appearances for the club.
But after a 2022/23 campaign in which the midfielder made just ten Premier League appearances, Lanzini decided to run down his contract and wave goodbye to east London.
“Manu has been a tremendous servant for the football club and a brilliant player for me in my time here as manager.” West Ham boss David Moyes said on his departure.
“In my first spell he played a key role in helping us to stay up, and he has always been someone I can rely on.
“Manu is a fantastic professional, a really good lad, and whichever club he joins will have an excellent player on their hands.”
