Sampdoria have confirmed the arrival of Manolo Gabbiadini who leaves Southampton after two years.
The 27-year-old has been with the Saints since 2017 but after falling down the pecking order under new boss Ralph Hassenhüttl has been allowed to leave.
A number of clubs in Serie A were rumoured to be keen on his services, but now it’s been confirmed that the goalscorer will go back to Samp – the club he left in 2015.
The deal is for an initial six-month loan, but Samp have an obligation to buy in the summer for €12m.
Gabbiadini will sign on a four-year deal.
