Manchester United’s four-man manager shortlist is heavily Chelsea orientated

It’s not just Chelsea who are on the hunt for a new manager right now, their Premier League rivals Manchester United are also on the look out for a new manager this summer.

This could present real problems for Chelsea, especially when some of the names United are looking at are the same names that Chelsea are reportedly looking at.

Sources: Two sources report Chelsea interest in manager name who hasn’t been reported yet!

And also, United’s apparent four-man shortlist is heavily Chelsea orientated regardless.

According to The Times, United have shortlisted former Chelsea managers Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel, as well as two reported Chelsea manager targets, Thomas Frank and Kieran McKenna as potential new managers for them to replace Erik Ten Hag with this summer.

Pochettino, having just left Chelsea, you’d expect to be keen on this job if he does get offered it, and you’d expect that he would like to get straight back into a managerial job as soon as he can.

Tuchel you’d also imagine would be appealed by the United job and making a return to the Premier League. But I’m sure Chelsea fans might be upset to see their former Champions League manager coming back to the Premier League to take a job with one of their league rivals.

Chelsea need to act fast

McKenna and Frank are being heavily linked with Chelsea right now, but at the moment nothing seems advanced. Chelsea might need to move quick though if they are to get ahead of United and other competition for managers that may come up very soon.

It seems to be a bit of a managerial situation this summer, with a number of clubs looking to make changes or hire a manager, with Chelsea obviously being one of the most high profile clubs to be doing that.

Fans will be eager to know who is coming in next to replace Pochettino.
